Dag 1/Day 1

Today we had the first rehearsals for the Tattoo. Starting at 8 o'clock sharp, the massed pipes and drums were split into different groups. The pipers were separated by Captain Steven Small, the drummers by Brian Alexander and also the drum majors had a bit of training. It was really nice to see so many guys we already met at former Tattoo's, like Saif of the Royal Army of Oman, Rodie from 2 Scots, Paul Tweedley Royal Artillery and Jason Summer of the army school of Bagpipe music

In three hours’ time the music and the show including the formation (a Celtic Cross) was put together.
After lunch we rehearsed the show four times for Steve Walsh the Production Manager.
At approx. 1500 hours we went back to the Pollock Halls for some time of rest.
This evening we will be going to the Castle for rehearsals.
Marching on the esplanade, what a unforgettable feeling! The Massive sound of the Massed Pipes and Drums, drill sergeants given commands and the critical view of the Director of Army Bagpipe music brought this long day to an end.

Early start tomorrow.

Due to some download problems we unfortunately are not able to download some photo's, hopefully we will solve this problem asap
